Stump Pass Beach State Park

Stump Pass Beach is a mile of beautiful sandy beach with gentle waves that deposit seashells and other ocean treasures on the sand. Its location makes it a perfect spot for swimming, fishing, or relaxing and watching the waves. The area is full of wildlife, and just sitting on the beach, you’re likely to see frigate birds, manatees, snowy egrets, and gopher turtles.

You can explore a 1.3-mile hiking trail that wends through five distinct natural communities and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Kayaks are available to rent, and you can explore the two islands just east of the park. Covered picnic tables are available, together with restrooms and showers. Stump Beach is located at 900 Gulf Boulevard, Manasota Key.

Lemon Bay / Myakka Trail

Cycling and horseback riding are also very popular here, and bike rentals are available.
